Install Google Chrome on Ubuntu 9.10

There are many people know about new modern browser from google name Google Chrome. Speed is the most advantage of Google Chrome but it just come with many new feature like Sync Bookmark, Theme and Extension that can be fight with competitor.

Google Chrome can be install on Ubuntu 9.10 in 2 ways. Beta version via .deb or install via APT

Install Google Chrome (BETA) with deb package

Go to http://www.google.com/chrome then download .deb 32bit or 64bit depend on our Ubuntu version.

When finish your download. Double click your downloaded file then click Install Package to install Google Chrome.

This Beta version of Google Chrome is 4.0.249.30

Install Chromium via APT

Chromium is the Open Source version of Google Chrome. We can install via Launchpad Ubuntu Chromium Daily Builds with these commands

echo "deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/chromium-daily/ppa/ubuntu karmic main" | sudo tee -a /etc/apt/sources.list
echo "deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/chromium-daily/ppa/ubuntu karmic main" | sudo tee -a /etc/apt/sources.list
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install chromium-browser

Chromium version is 4.0.270.0 (Ubuntu build 34458) (write on 16/12/2009)
